Feminists for Nonviolent Choices (formerly Feminists Choosing Life of New York) is a secular organization that believes in non-violent solutions.  Abortion, capital punishment, war, euthanasia, unethical science, and poverty violate human rights.

In collaboration with the Gandhi Institute's Season for Nonviolence and in commemoration of Women's History Month, Feminists for Nonviolent Choices hosts an annual series of events with a focus on a human rights issue specific to women/girls.

In 2010, we brought in Jennifer Lahl and Eggsploitation, a film which documented the commodification of human eggs within the infertility industry.

In 2011, Donna Ecker spoke about domestic violence and helped raise funds for women and children transitioning between Bethany House and independent living.

In 2012, Reggie Littlejohn from Women Without Frontiers came to speak about the enormity of gendercide, the systematic killing of girls.

Our 2013 event on domestic and international sex trafficking was instrumental in the formation of the Rochester Regional Coalition Against Human Trafficking.

The March 2014 topic is the sexual objectification of our culture, especially that of women and girls, and will feature international journalist and activist Melinda Tankard Reist; a film screening of Sexy Baby; a multimedia art gallery & exhibit; high school and college engagements; and a community call to action.
